Our Origin
An idea about a lift in 1947 laid the foundation of the Cibes Lift Group. Today Cibes is one of the world’s leading (and fastest growing) manufacturers of low speed lifts. A civil engineer named Bertil Svedberg(Civil engineer Bertil Svedberg = Cibes) started manufacturing. Developments intensified in the 70s when Cibes also started production of screw-driven lifts. This screw technology, has since become one of Cibes’ most important features and a significant factor for its success.

At Cibes, we are world leaders in manufacturing innovative, space-efficient lift solutions for private houses. What started as a small company in Northern Sweden in 1947 has now grown into an international company that has installed more than 100,000 lifts in over 70 countries. Regardless of our growth, our Swedish roots remain part of our success.
Our Factories
Since 2012, the headquarters, R&D department and main factory of our company group are gathered under one roof in the small town of Gävle, approximately 200 km North of Stockholm.
We also established a factory, complete with its own R&D centre, in Jiaxing, China in 2020.
Cibes Lift Cambodia
Cibes Lift Cambodia is the direct subsidiary of Cibes Lift Group and we've been in this unique market since 2021. In order to better serve the growing market, a showroom was established in 2023 with demo lifts for the best experience.
